Christmas Celebration
To add to the festive mode, we celebrated Christmas with children of the sanitation staff. A donation camp called, ‘Khushi ka Khazana’, was also initiated along with this activity, which extended an opportunity to others to become the secret Santa for these kids.
Dengue Awareness Drive
The dengue awareness drive was organized in Mohali and Chandigarh during the monsoons. Since the sanitation employees are the ones most prone to this disease, therefore this initiative is necessary for their welfare. The drive also aimed to push the sanitation staff as cleaning ambassadors for people and come together to eradicate this menace.
Drawing Competition
A drawing competition was organized for the children of the sanitation worker, to boost their creativity and spread cheers into their life.
Lohri Celebrations
All the staff came together to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Lohri with a roaring bonfire and popcorns. Gifts were distributed to the staff during the celebrations, which added joy to the whole activity.
Reading Club
To inculcate the good habit of reading, a reading club, The Learning Garden’, was organized for the children of the sanitation staff. This initiative was aimed at making them understand the potential of good education and the significant impact it can have in their lives.

Waste segregation for a sustainable tomorrow
With approximately 1.5 lakh metric tons of solid waste generated every day, segregation at source is the only solution for successful waste management. In support of the Swachh Bharat Mission, we are making strides in the direction of spreading awareness about the menace of waste and inculcating a behavioral change towards hygiene and sanitation. For the same, Lion Services Limited has been organizing street shows and demonstartion drives across all its locations to sensitise the public and brin.
